1. Our Philosophy on Code Privacy

At CodeOasis, we believe your code is your property. Unlike other AI coding tools, we never train our models on your private code. Our Local-First architecture ensures that if you choose to use local models via Ollama or LM Studio, your code literally never leaves your machine.

2. Information We Collect

When you use CodeOasis, we collect only what is necessary to provide and improve our services:

• Account Information: Name, email address, and authentication credentials.
• Telemetry Data: Anonymous usage statistics (e.g., which panels are used most frequently) to improve the IDE. This can be disabled in settings.
• API Keys: If you bring your own keys for cloud models (OpenAI, Anthropic), they are stored locally on your machine and never transmitted to our servers.
• Billing Information: Processed securely through our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full credit card numbers.

3. Cloud Provider Interactions

If you choose to use cloud-based models (such as Claude 3.5 Sonnet or GPT-4o) through the CodeOasis interface:

• Code snippets and context relevant to your query are sent to the respective provider’s API.
• We have Zero-Data Retention agreements in place with our enterprise AI providers, meaning your data is not stored or used for training by them.
• If you use the “Bring Your Own Key” (BYOK) feature, you are subject to the privacy terms you agreed to with that specific provider.

4. Data Security

We implement enterprise-grade security measures. All communications between the CodeOasis client and our services are encrypted using TLS 1.3. For enterprise customers, we offer SSO/SAML integration, custom deployment options, and dedicated instance provisioning to meet strict compliance requirements.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

You can request the deletion of your account and associated data at any time through the Developer Portal. Upon request, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it (e.g., for tax or accounting purposes).

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR in Europe, CCPA in California), you have rights including:
